Getting to Hotham is relatively easy now that the Great Alpine Road is sealed right through.

Forget the dark old days working your way through the mud and slush on an uncleared road that old hands may remember.

Alpine Rd WinterMt Hotham can be approached from Melbourne either via Bright (and Harrietville in around 4.5 hours or via Omeo where you could expect to take 5.5 hours.)

From Sydney take the Hume Highway to Wodonga and follow the brown tourist snow signs to Yackandandah and then on to Myrtleford. From there, follow the Great Alpine Road through Bright and Harrietville.
